Antonio "Tony" Celetti 67 of New City, died Mon. Sept. 12, 2016 Born in Italy, Nov. 23, 1948, Son of the late Pietro and Gaetana Celetti, brother to Donato Celetti and Maria Arace.

He is survived by his wife Yolanda Sala Celetti of New City and his four daughters Tina, Antionette, Pierina, and Josaphine. Along with his 5 adoring grandchildren: Mikey, Giada, Jakey, Daniella, and Sofia. An Immigrant from Italy, Antonio came to America on Columbus Day 1970 and ultimately lived the American dream. He first settled in Mount Vernon, NY and eventually moved his family to New City, NY.

Tony was proud to become an American citizen and business owner of Celetti Nursery and Garden Center. He was the definition of a true man. Gentle, caring, loyal, dependable, yet could build, move, fix or invent something out of nothing. With a handkerchief in his pocket and a smile on his face Antonio devoted every day of his memorable life to taking care of his family. His wife, his girls, and of course his grandchildren who were the lights of his life.

A son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, godfather, grandfather, uncle and friend, Antonio was so much to so many and will forever be in our thoughts. He enjoyed everything and anything about family, working, hunting, and going upstate, he made the most of every day and did things his way.

Painless days and endless joy. We love and miss you.

Family will receive friend on Thursday from 2-4 tom 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home New City, NY. Mass of Christian burial 10AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church West Nyack, NY. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery Nanuet, NY.
